Zermatt

I flew into Geneva and immediately got a train from the airport to Zermatt.
I took a few pitstops along the way.

Le Catogne Mountain in Martigny, unique red summit.

The train from Visp snakes its way through the steep valley towards Zermatt.

Got off to explore Stalden.

Finally, after a full travel day, I got to Zermatt.
The Matterhorn has been a mountain I’ve always wanted to see.

It looms high over the town. Photos can’t capture it’s height.

The next day I had a plan to hike up to the Matterhorn.
