Our second day stop in Belgium - Antwerp is a smaller, ancient city on the River Scheldt.

The train station here is really cool.
There are 4 different levels of track with an open channel in between.

Antwerp has claim to Europe’s first skyscraper, as well as it’s second largest port.
The center square has a similar feel as Brussels, with detailed facades and a large tower - the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal (Cathedral of Our Lady).

But it felt somewhat darker, like it was from further in the past.
Theres a walking tunnel under the river with a very old escalator - the Sint-Annatunnel.

And a ferry to get back.

Back to the train station,

Rotterdam was next.
