Grindelwald right at the base of Mt. Eiger.

When you first arrive in the town, it’s pretty obvious where to go - there’s a huge canyon that gets your attention.

The Jungfrau region has 3 famous tall peaks in a line - Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger.

I hiked up along the edge of Glacier Canyon, once again noticing that all of this used to be ice.

At the end of the trail, deep in the canyon there was something unexpected - a pub

Makes sense with all the cable cars, I was happy to see it.

Grindelwald

Took a different route down into the heart of the canyon, where some old rickety bridges crossed over.

Once again, photos fail to communicate the size or height of these places.

Mt Eiger

Next I would leave the valley for an entirely different region.
But first, a stop in Lucerne.
