Lauterbrunnen is another one of those places, like the Matterhorn, that I saw when I was younger and always wanted to go to.
It’s a deep gorge with some of the tallest mountains in Europe making up the walls.
The train takes you to the village of Lauterbrunnen itself, with the Lauterbrunnen Waterfall pouring over.
Theres a small tunnel you can walk through right below the falls.
I needed to walk down to the far end of the valley.
Mt. Eiger
Lots of cows down here, must be where swiss cheese comes from.

At the end of the valley, I was happy to see a cable car that could take me up the cliff to where I was staying in Gimmelwald.
Lots of paragliders and base jumpers out today - one of the things this valley is famous for.
The Mountain Hostel at the top of the ridge is awesome.
Lot’s of peaks to choose from tomorrow, I went with Schlithorn.
